Watermelon Poem by Samantha Wong

Watermelon

Rating: 3.5

You take a piece of watermelon,
a piece of summer sweet.
You break a piece of watermelon,
and share your special treat.
You toss a piece of watermelon,
to the creature that you meet.
You watch a piece of watermelon,
fall onto the street.
The rabbit runs away
from your sweet summer snack.
You chase after it and say,
"Bunny, please come back! "

I like it easy to follow while bringing notice to something we may overlook in our daily lives.
