Watching Others Succeed Poem by Richard Noggin

Watching Others Succeed

A fact of life
Just when you think
You are one step ahead
You see you are 3 steps behind
I suppose I feel threatened
No longer the bread winner of the family
Afraid I will lose my wife to some young punk
I don’t say I would blame her
It’s nice to see that the one you
Love is getting ahead in the world
However, it sucks to just sit and watch
Someone else play a game that you can’t
I am sure I am over reacting
I guess we will just have to wait and see
I hate watching other
Succeed

I like this one. I sometimes feel the same way.
