Watch Your Words Poem by Jessica Lyle

Watch Your Words

Rating: 4.5

You tell me not to worry about what other people think,
but then you go and spend an hour in the mirror.
You tell me you love me and care about me,
but then you ask my advice on how to find girls.
You tell me how sweet you can be to me,
but then you cut me off and be rude.
You tell me it's not all about sex,
but you always talk abou it.
You say you miss me alot,
but then you say you want me to stay up here.
You say you care,
but your actions don't show it.
Watch your words, actions, and thoughts.
And then maybe I'll believe you.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

A wonderfully brief poem speaking about the hypocrisy in life and people, it was wonderful to read and quite good from a beginning poet no matter your age.

Well, Jesica, just hold on to yourself and be yourself, true to yourself
