Wasted Days Poem by Christopher Tye

Wasted Days

Wasted Days

There are days when I have no fight left in me,
When I haven't got any energy left,
Days when all I want to do is to sleep.

Days spent at work,
When all you want,
Is time to do what you want.

There have been so many days wasted in my life,
Days where nothing worthwhile has been achieved,
Days when I should have done more.

But then I ‘am no different to anybody else,
For us humans always seem to waste days here and there,
So are wasted days really wasted or are they just another day?

Christopher, i know sometimes we feel like there is nothing in our day and it just like a regular day that passed and another come...but it is not wasted days...i rather say it just incubation time before we finally can see what we wanted to do with our life, and if you want, you can waste no more by creating something new to your coming days. Its never late to do something, it will delay if you not think about it..i understand the poem very well because i was asking the same thing...and i feel like everyday is just a day for sun and night for moon...and i am hanging in between...then we have to do something. Days are passed to us for us to use, or to heal, or to lose...But i know you can make great things if you want, because you have talented hand and mind...what we need to do is use the remaining days and craft the seconds into golden air...to breath inside our lung and heart...nice poem Chris, keep it up Soul

A wasted day to me is nothing of the like...its those moments to recharge your batteries and we all need that. i loved the sound days made as i read it out. they seemed to ring as a gentle reminder of the moments to be considered... wonderful..tyvm karen
