War And Peace (Industry And Calm)

Simile says,
'As the more the red or gold,
the less the orange,
the more the sounds of industry or war,
the less the peace.'

Rhyme counters
with blue and yellow's
threat to green,
'The more the vibrations of the two you chose,
the less the calm between.'

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Inspired during a morning in which Troilus,
on the battlefield, but thinking of love, shouts,
'Peace, you ungracious clamours! peace
rude sounds! Fools on both sides! '
and,
Precision Engineering's big press
goes 'Thump! ...Thump! ...Thump! ...'
and,
I see that 'impinge' at a pinch will rhyme with 'orange'.
(I can't use it, at last.)
