War And Fear Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

War And Fear

Rating: 4.6

To live peacefully amongst ourselves,
Would be a blessing in itself,
In this life of hatred and war,
Why do good souls have to fall,
Families suffer the wrath of greed,
Powerless,
Frightened,
Longing to be free,
From death and suffering,
For they can't do anything,
But hope and pray,
Peace and tranquility,
May return one day,
Until then,
Many more lives will be lost,
For war brings much loss,
At a heavy cost.

War is terrible. Suffering for all. A timely poem. Just when we are slowly emerging from pandemic, we are entering into war.

Sadly, Putin's mind was already made up long ago. It's a waiting game now to see when and where he will stop.
