War Poem by Henry Yarbrough

War

I am war.
I am your bleeding faith.
So turn away once more.
Indifference is a killers grace.

Whispering misery to innocence.
I feast at your tears of despair.
In untold numbers the lives I've spent.
To bring you a death angel stare.

And that you don't even realize.
I am there.... In depth of your soul.
Fading to black seething in lies.
Being human is consuming you whole.

So I give to you a grieving sky.
Creeds wasted and genocide.
Your souls are the symptom, me I just lie.
Go and ask him why?

I am war......... Drink
