Walking ‘round the shops
There's nothing I really need
So much on offer
Capitalism ruling
And now destroying the Earth
Nothing has changed. Hope the poem will have an effect.
Truly we are surrounded by things. There's so much temptation for shoppers thronging the markets. Being a female I always end up buying more than I need when at heart I know things don't bring peace of mind. But capitalism rules our minds and hearts. Great piece!
Totally agree on this material things don't bring us happiness
Good message which should be implemented in life. The greed is on both sides. Eish we kearn to let go of material things.
why do we collect so much stuff--is it a way to validate our existence--twould be better to take a daily walk in the woods or over the desert and just enjoy God's handiwork before big business destroys it---top marks
Socrates is right. And so you are, David. But, you are safe that Ayn Rand is dead. Or else, she would have murdered you in cold blood for speaking against capitalism. Top score and myfav
Fantastic verse, David. Is it possible to get buyers' remorse over an ideology?
