Wanjiku Poem by Just A Man

Wanjiku

Oh daughter of Kenya when will they finish persecuting you,
Is it for the melanin that covers your head to your feet,
I am flabbergasted by the inhumane treatment they give,
Don't you have the strength to fight back?
They are not remorseful my dear,
Despite of your magical beauty,
Why the frown in your face?
Your strength unmatched
If only….only…
You knew
