Walk To Me Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

Walk To Me

Rating: 5.0

I hear your voice a calling,
But only in my dreams,
The silver birch are swaying,
In the midnight breeze,
And there you stand before me,
As if you'd never left,
I reach for you with open arms,
I feel lonely and bereft,
I need to hold you oh so tight,
To take your hand in mine,
I need to talk with you again,
To know that you are fine,
Just walk to me my loved one,
So you can be with me,
I long to start our lives again,
As happy as can be.
Memories are all I have now,
Dreams are not the same,
I miss you in this lonely life,
I want you back again.
