Waiting For Midnight Poem by Brittany Stevens

Waiting For Midnight

As I sit
waiting for midnight
I think of you.
I know I could creep into the dark, frozen silence.
Walk up to your door and knock lightly.
I'd fly into your arms
as you step back at the sight of me.
I wish so dearly I could whisper
in your ear
I love you so much baby.
But far back in my consciousness
I know you'd dropp me
from the comfort of your arms.
You'd look at the door,
silently telling me to leave.
I'd hold my tears
until the door had shut behind me.
As the fantasy, the dream
comes to an end,
I sit,
waiting for midnight.

I love you so much baby. But far back in my consciousness I know you'd dropp me from the comfort of your arms. You'd look at the door, full silently telling me to leave. I'd hold my tears until the door had shut behind me. beautifully expressed how we wait till the end for our loved ones to love us in returen and even though they don't still we continue loving.. so true! ! ! good one...
