Waiting Poem by Surya Pratap Singh

Waiting

Rating: 5.0

Oh yes! I am waiting,
For you under the lamppost dim,
In this winter so silent,
My heart is set upon a thunderstorm,
About which you don't know,
O my empty warm arms,
The tears that you rolled out and set free, o my lovely eyes,
They are as frozen as my gloomy heart ambling towards demise,
Sometimes I wish I could feel nothing,
Then in that nothingness, I find your soul shimmering,
We met, we crawled and ambled upon each other's heart,
But in doing so I healed yours and you torned mine apart,
Its sounds as the chirping of bird during autumn when I hear I love you,
But the same turns into rotten darkness as I find him with you
