waiting

I wait for love
But I never find it
I wait for acceptance
But I’m only rejected
I wait for sunshine
But I only get rain
I wait for a prince
But I find a joker
I wait for a hero, My hero
But I’m killed before I’m rescued
I wait for you,
But your never there
Yet I still wait for love
And wonder if I’ll ever find it
Somewhere, Someday.

I like the way your poem is quite straight forward, its the best way to communicate that raw feeling - i found your hero analogy striking, good write :) (Report) Reply

Poem of the Day

poet James Whitcomb Riley

When the frost is on the punkin and the fodder's in the shock
And you hear the kyouck and gobble of the struttin' turkey cock
And the clackin' of the guineys, and the cluckin' of the hens
