Waiting
I thought you were my friend
But you left me sitting in the rain
I thought you were my friend
But you left me when I was in pain-
You were my shoulder to lean on
But that shoulder disappeared
You, I thought I could confide in
But that didn't work (as I had feared)
I thought that you would come
And at first I patiently waited
But as time passed, you never came
And all hope on my part faded...
