Wait Poem by Kennedy Mawirah

Wait

I wait under the sky for the day,
Every morning is a blessing,
Every breath a great miracle,
I will wait am sure,
I will hold my shoulder high,
Smile where necessary,
And just laugh when hilarious,
Oh yeah, am going to wait for that moment,

I am standing in the middle of this misery,
Questions run in my mind like missiles,
Answers I long for, correction to the mistakes,
I will wait, for sure, just standing here,
The signs will tell the season,
The seasons will be the answers to my miserable queries,
As sure as the sun will shine,
As sure as tomorrow exists,
I will wait.
