Vow Poem by Anthony Dawson

Vow

Rating: 4.0

Again I enter where I have never been
Through the passage and into the world I create
What I create will again conceive a different tomorrow
A want of the better, and more of the unknown

I wish to sit still, to savour and enjoy
To not think the thoughts of others
Or fear them like they fear me

I want to create somewhere where my thoughts are mine
Where a garden is a process of welcome decisions
Without deductions, with freedom of thought

I need to follow the easiest path, not the quickest
To walk into the arms of those closest
I would like to be able to remind myself
That at times I will not break
That I will stay upright

This may seem an apparition
But the concept is not so vague
For I create tomorrow today
Therefore today is the beginning of tomorrow
