Voices Poem by Joelle Ramee

Voices

She stands alone
Voices.
She yearns to join them.
To speak!
But she holds back.
The next year, will she take her stand.
No
She is to shy
The shell, the shell of her being.
It was her savior from harm
But now
It is her biggest flaw.
She is hollow.
The voices
She hears,
She yearns
She holds the words.
They were inside.
SPEAK
But she cant.
She wont
She shies away
The little bird
Hiding from the rain
She wants to show them.
She cant.
So she leaves this world.
Her wish
A glimmering spark for Me.
For you.
Sing,
Speak,
Be heard
