Voice In My Mind Poem by Francis Duggan

Whenever i consider giving rhyming away
A tiny voice in my mind to me always does say
Without rhyme in your life what else for a hobby would you do
The saddest man in the town then would be you
Though some others in my rhymes flaws always find
I always does listen to the voice in my mind
The reason i remain a rhymer today
And for as long as i can do as a rhymer i will stay
And hopefully this will be until the day i do die
If i did tell you differently this would be a lie
Though i does believe my best years in life are long gone
The voice in my mind tells me to keep on rhyming on
And i always listen to what the voice has to say
The reason that i does write rhymes every day.
