Visions Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Visions

Vestiges of the eternal river
Olive oil like ancient faces
The wind is a friend to the poor
Gods voice sweeps the mountains
Balances precise as heaven
There only is one way
Lilacs remind me of tolerance

Contentment better than ambition
Peace richer than wealth
Space like different flowers
Romance the essential fiction
Painting a stream by purple orchids
Fruit of life in the light of fireflies
Let the lark sing her heart

Visions dance like the rain

The form of this poem is very simple but the content is spilling over with sharp insights into TRUE VALUES. Together they make up a treasury of things of the highest spiritual and sensory value placed against false things that will betray the human spirit. These four are my favorites: lilacs remind me of tolerance // romance the essential fiction (YEAH!) // FRUIT OF LIFE IN THE LIGHT OF FIREFLIES // LET THE LARK SING HER HEART. Each one of these has the perceptive surprise of a haiku.
