A ventless room of smoke
encased the chair i sat upon,
I ponder through the evening,
Braking into dawn,
If my eyes stay open,
Will my rest not ever ease,
And if my mind stays open,
Will my dreams not ever please,
And if this life I'm living,
Ever drops me to my knees,
Will I be forgiven,
If I choose to leave.
Voices brake the knowledge,
Of the people in my head,
To fast upon a senceless world,
Instead.
To grab the hope before there's none,
To smile with a saddened sun,
To brake your soul to survive,
Or no longer wish to be alive.
Silently there spoke an end,
To her hopes and to her prayers,
And now the doors are opening,
And soon she'll walk up stairs.
