Values 2 Poem by Ian Syder

Rating: 5.0

Burglars financing an habit
Tolerated, only just
Methadone methods and
Anti-depressed depressants
Refused universal treatment
The “you brought this on yourself”
Hangs on the lips of judgmental peers

Violence draws respect and cheers
Like a political faction: la Guelph
Accepted and rewarded with a mixture of resent
Meant to illustrate respectants
Wide-eyed, re-toned and bland
These poltroon heroes, a must
And the lifestyle they inhabit
