Validation…a Voice From The Past… Poem by Meena Mustafa

Validation…a Voice From The Past…

Rating: 5.0

The day is done and the nights is long
The wind blows as I listen to a song.
Reminiscing on my days spent as a child
I see a silhouette- - I duck and hide.
Under my sheets shivering with fear
Who could this be as I peek and hear?
A voice will echo and then disappear
'You have become so strong my dear! '
Was this my mother's voice I heard?
Was she out of the interred?
Was she trying to find solace?
To be with her loved ones out of her grave.
Then I felt her close to me
She looked at me with pride and glee.
Angels surrounded her as she spoke
The scene dissolved in a cloud of smoke.
She was gone in gust of air
To a place beyond compare.
She came to bless me and keep me strong
On her wings of love as I listened to my song…

She came to bless me and keep me strong- - Mother's love to her kids is eternal.Though she is no more she comes. Very nicely envisioned. Many thanks.
