There are more and more days
Cropping up on the calendar
Like Valentine's day, Mother's day, Father's day etc
That some entrepeneurial folks
Have decided need to be supported
There's always a catch
A good reason
Some are in good fun
And provided you keep matters in perspective
All is fine
But this commercialization of everything
From love to the ecology
Is a problem
When any of it
Starts to interfere with reality
And people leading vacuous lives
Begin building their lives
And relationships around
These commercialized facsimiles of reality.
