Vacant Parking Poem by kinuthia david

Vacant Parking

Dad, for two days,
and nights, that carry the same weight
the space has been empty.
Perhaps you were late
but, my heart seems to be empty
of ideas as such:
for the parking needed no pay
and the tag'Reserved', carried no weight
but wait
Perhaps the license became stale
and you had gone for renewal, perhaps,
and you know how the municipal is
it could've taken more than two days, you know,
perhaps, as such, the case is
but, it's your home we're discussing
and the more i justify you, the more it sounds disgusting
Oh Dad, where were you,
when Jimmy thought one added to one is eleven
and your memory in your house almost became faded
and, my own father, i almost hated
Isn't this what we call vacant parking.
