V Poem by Pearl Walden

V

Valor: not in swooping form the rooftop
in mask and cape endowed with
superpowers nor wielding of the
pen in swordlike self-delusion
but in daily surviving the hard
tasks of bringing bread to table
and feeding a child with meager
rations is rare courage present
