Us Softly Shaken Poem by Artemis Zarchae

Us Softly Shaken

Songs are sung of us softly shaken
Witnesses of the troubling tortures
That leave ghouls walking in the halls.
Thier screams still heard these 2 years later
Screaming in unconsious minds
In the hospitals of our confines.
Echoing screams that leave us weeping
Sobbing lonely where we lay
All alone is our dismay.
What is left is now in ashes
Burned twice over, smoking still
Far away, in darkening hills.
Our nightmares over, but yet we live
Crying in our sleep at night
Never able to see the light.
