Us Poem by Dean Bottomley

Us

When rain is all that fills your day:
And all around is dull and grey:
When nothing seems to go your way:
I’ll come and take your pain away.

When all around are so uptight:
When only misery’s in sight:
And all that you can see is night:
I will be there to make it right.

When every day is filled with rain:
And all you feel is stress and pain:
When all your efforts seem in vain:
I will appear to take the strain.

For in my life your are the sun:
You cause my heart to beat and run:
Afore you my life had not begun:
For me you are the only one.
