Uproot Bitterness Poem by Cindy Wyatt

Uproot Bitterness

Bitterness is like a tree whose roots
grow deeper and deeper
It takes away one's joy
and makes them a spiritual sleeper
The roots are like a deadly poison
that defiles everything around
It robs one of true peace of heart
wherever it is found
Only Jesus can uproot this malignancy
from the ground
and replant your heart in fresh clean soil
where good fruit can abound

Hebrews 12: 15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled
