Unwelcome Memory Poem by gabriella pestana

Unwelcome Memory

Rating: 2.5

When you looked into my eyes
you could tell that this world had nothing but lies
and by my surprise
you held me close like a boy would just won his prize

making sure my heart wouldn't
ache
or break
for my sake

being with you made me realize you were the one
once our life had begun
you promise me to have a son

if i was away from you for a day
my world would turn grey
so i would turn to god and pray

asking him for you to stay with me
because you had the key
the key to my heart
that would race of the chart
everytime we kissed, which was a work of art

but that was all in the past
yeah it didn't last
because it went by too fast

and in a blink of an eye
i knew i had to cry
once my lips spoke out the words 'Goodbye'
