Unwanted Poem by Talmadge Rogalla

Unwanted

It was one sided,
In an unrequited form,
I was so enchanted,
And going through a storm.
As I pined and languished,
I surrendered my heart,
In rejection I was anguished,
It struck me like a dart.
Now I know,
And talk of pain,
Of a love,
That was in vain.
I was bewitched,
Very engrossed,
Smothered with enchantment,
Melancholia my host.
Like all the wretched,
Who are in despair,
Of some who are blind,
Or just don’t care.
A passion without mercy,
They feel no remorse,
But these feelings will go,
As time takes its course.
Once we were together,
Yes once upon a time,
But all that’s now left,
Are a few verses that rhyme.
