Untouchable Poem by Emma Wright

Untouchable

Rating: 5.0

A moment unexpected,
A flash of lightning in my life,
I want to grab a hold of it,
And take it close to my heart,
To keep the darkness at bay,
And keep the light near to me,
But i feel the pulsing heat,
And i know that it will burn,
So my hands fall back,
And i watch as it fades,
Soft and cold it silps away,
I know it is too late now,
And as i am left in the dark,
I know i am to blame,
So i reach out once more,
My hope bright in my eyes,
But it really is too late now,
My hope dies with the flame,
I fall back into darkness.
