(untitled)(She) Poem by Mark Money

(untitled)(She)

She stepped out of the firmament
eyes ablaze and hair askew
and dared to ask directions
to a place i had no idea how to get to.

we paused

for a moment (eyes locked)

then she was gone

i felt like a chump
punch-drunk
face-down in obscurity

taking a flight (a midnight flight)
with a girl who temporarily
stepped out of the firmament
and dared to ask directions
while her eyes were locked with mine.
