A Fool To Believe (Maybe She Will) Poem by Mark Money

A Fool To Believe (Maybe She Will)

Rating: 3.5

I was warm.
was i in over my head?
just a little too close to hear
a word she said.
fool
to believe she was going to
believe me

i could fall in love
was what she said.
just snowing me?
a question i had to ask
fool
to think i would
believe her

but she was smooth
and i was just a fool to believe
did she
believe me?hard to say.

i tried to convince her
was i persuasive?
just like it was
a play i had to act in.
fool
to not be able to see.
believe me

she is smooth
and i set myself up as
a fool to believe.
did shebelieve me?
hard to say
butsome day

maybe she will.
