Untitled Iii Poem by Katrina Harms

Untitled Iii

i walked over and under myself,
trampling
deep forests of feelings
(i saw)
becoming as red as
those stains i never wanted
you to see;
inside the forest, you must know,
no creatures live- all is silence and shadows
and silhouettes of thoughts long dead,
trembling with decay.
you ask me where my love springs from
and it is yet unknown to me,
most likely deep ravined-
but uncovered and clear
(like a hidden capsule)
when your shivering flesh
slides against mine.
we are vanilla and mocha colored,
lipping and hipping
[as secret as a red balloon in the sky]
crimson leaves dipped in teacolored
water-
That's what your eyes are to me
when our tree arms unfold,
and the wood is less lonely when
my hand you hold.
