Untitled Poem by Ashley (Rae) Wade

Untitled

Darkness,
A shroud of black silk hindering your sight.
A break, a tear, a mangled mass of beauty.
Slowly, shyly, creeping into existence.
A luminescent light widening, stretching,
Searching through darkened folds,
Casts back the shadows of dispassionate creatures
Lurking in the undergrowth of broken hearts and broken bones.
Discord is reborn again,
Order cradles her to his chest.
Some say it's a battle between light and dark, good and evil.
But as gossamer light and silky black weave and tumble together,
I see a lover's trance.
Each as different as the moon from the sun,
Though they cannot exist with out their only love,
The only reason for their existence.
In which even time cannot break their intricate and repeated dance.
