Untamed Tongue Poem by Paul Sebastian

Untamed Tongue

Rating: 5.0

Tongue: Boneless, unbridled member
Used, abused in verbal aggression
Could blow to pieces, victim's character
It harbours devil's warring weapons

Untamed tongue, can dismember
Malign, cripple one's personality
Kill the spirit of a family member
Brings brokenness to one's spirituality

No justification, no excuses to misuse
Apologies come late, they cannot heal
Anger comes quick, inflict and bruise
Scars remain, though forgiveness sealed

Wise to think before one speaks
Only fools think after a blunder
Die a thousand times, as fear freaks
Don untamed emotions; in quiet, suffer

Nicely expressed the- the damage caused by an untamed tongue. This may be a common observation. It is better to tame the tongue before it could spoil the relationship(s) because 'Apologies come late, they cannot heal'. Thanks.
