Unspoken Poem by Lora Colon

Unspoken

Rating: 5.0

Like a baby unable to speak,
Helplessly crying for what it needs,
So I cry for a harvest not granted,
I cry for the unplanted seeds

Held captive by invisible bars,
I observed Love running wild and free,
More than once, I offered my hand to hold,
But Love marched on..... ignoring me

Even the flowers are gently held
In the arms of the sun and the soil,
Yet I struggle to survive without Love,
Wearied by this burdensome toil

While words of Love remained unspoken,
The evening's shadows lengthened fast,
Though my heart languished, Love remained aloof,
Now night has come..... my day is past

Very poignant and revealing, love is a gentle breeze that sometimes touches our hearts, but does not remain. Other times just eluding us through many years of hope and desire. Hopefully love will find your heart and bring much joy into your future. A really great poem, I loved it! Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn

Fate was so bold and unfair Yet my chest hugs a fine heart In love it hasn't got its share Chore, time ticks are sharp dart.
