Unschmackhaft Poem by Francis Santaquilani

Unschmackhaft

Santa is in the creche!
Cradling baby Jesus
In his mittens.

Mary and Joseph seem
Grateful for the break.

Fiber optic angels?
Hover above
On a shelf.

Germans, in the states on business,
Snicker at the chocolates.

'Billigkeit' and 'unschmackhaft'
are the words I thought I overheard.

Had to use an online translator. Fun poem. Holidays are often ridiculous, but chocolate is a serious matter, and our chocolate is truly not up to the task.
