Unjust Love Poem by Marie Jones

Unjust Love

Rating: 5.0

This world is unjust
Being despondent I must
Cause my trust messed up
I'm living like the walking dead, not alive
In the world I can't thrive
Low self esteem
How can I survive?
I tell myself its a phase and that life goes by
As I tried to believe that
this reality was meant for me
Betrayal
Flames to dust
All good things came to an end
But its only so something new can begin
As the growing relationship begin to descend
You had feelings for me
You don't have to pretend
Shut down
Fear
Stopped you from pursuing me
I thought it was real but who'd
ever guess you'd just leave
Now I'm stuck to realize
That this love wasn't meant to be
We all see
Hatred is the key
Now I'm back to stubborn ol' me
From friendship to lust
To nothing but crust
I say to myself..
This world is unjust
