Universal Soul

Whitman, in 'Passage To India',
sought answer
to 'that sad, incessant refrain'
'Wherefore unsatisfied soul?
and Whither O mocking life? '

Gauguin, seeking knowing,
on Tahiti asked,
'Where Do We Come From?
What Are We?
Where Are We Going? '
