Unheard Poem by Amanda Larsen

Unheard

She wrote one word
Erased
Then wrote one more
She wrote a thousand words
She filled the blank page
with all the words her heart would beat

The ink spilled out of her like water
on that dirty street
Words of anger
Despare
Disapointment
She cut a hole in her skin and let the words flow out
She made a river of the unsaid sentenses

The cold air brused her fingers
But the pen kept running in her hand
The tears mixed with ink
The paper got torn
And words so honest were left unread

Capitals to scream for them to hear her
Please! Please hear her!

But nobody would read her childish letters
and nobody would care about her scream

So she replaced the ink with blood
and all her tears she turned to steam
Her words were quiet whispers now
If they refused to see her
She would refuse to cry

She sang herself to sleep
and dreamt inside a lie

As if the flood ran dry
her words were now just drops of pain

She hid them from the world
She hid them all in vain
Cause even if she'd screamed
nobody would have heard

But she hid the just to fool her it's her choice
She kept quiet to believe she had a voice
