Unfulfilled Undertow Poem by John Kipling Lewis

Unfulfilled Undertow

Rating: 3.3

and the undertow
of people's unfulfilled
expectations threatens
to pull me out to the sea
full of life, without a breath

It reminds me of a reoccurring gream I used to have, so obviously I can relate to it. Good one!

4. The undertow metaphor could work if it was approached through concrete details but this is just surface-level skimming. (Pun intended.)
