Unfinished... Poem by Ayan Roy

Unfinished...

Have been diagnosed with aposiopesis*. It's…
Can it be congenital or acquired? It's…
But anyway, Big pharma isn't hunting. It's…
And so, friends and kin continue to
endure my non-lucrative malady.
If only... Of course, I can grin, but,
what about the confused looks all around?
If only they didn't long for the long and short of it.
If only I could share what I know,
but that would be a long shot.
If only... To cut a long story short,
I come to a standstill.
A prime number but they see a subprime cut.
A life Steve Jobbed, Marie Kondo'ed and whatnot.
Do the maths…
Imagine a tape spool spinning around. Silence.

*Aposiopesis is generally a figure of speech wherein a sentence is deliberately broken off and left unfinished, the ending to be supplied by the imagination, giving an impression of unwillingness or inability to continue. But here the person suffers from Aposiopesis -- a disease that doesn't allow him to finish his sentences.
