Unended Love Poem by Tenzin Tsewang

Unended Love

In the spring of twenty-twenty-two,
Between me and Tenzin, a connection grew,
Awkward at first, our words unsure,
But soon we spoke, our voices pure.

Language, dreams, and our past,
Our conversations, they seemed to last,
She spoke with wisdom,
Her voice, a symphony, mature and refined,
Every word she spoke, an enchanting rhyme
And in her world, a beauty I did find.

Plans of marriage, our hearts did embrace,
Yet distance loomed, a daunting divide,
Geneva and Gangtok, worlds on each side,
Hope as my compass, I embarked on a quest,
To travel to India, to meet her, my best

But upon arrival, a twist of fate,
Instead, an old friend, whom I met and sate.
Days spent drinking, time slipped away,
But I believed Tenzin would understand, I say,

But she felt hurt, her heart wounded and sore,
She withdrew, silenced forevermore,
I messaged and pleaded, my words cast aside,
Her silence echoed, unanswered, defied.
She never picked up, my call left unheard,
Year has passed now, memories still stirred.

Today, I stand haunted by what could have been,
In the depths of my soul, Tenzin, you still gleam,
With this heartfelt poem, I beg for your grace
To find solace and healing, to put my brain back in place
