Under The Sea Poem by James Anthony Creamer

Under The Sea

Tide rolls in
He sails out
My heart aches
Stabbing me with stakes
Piercing my blood vessels
My life flows free

Wading down to the depths
Taking huge gulping breaths
Copper-tinted water flows
Man-eater follows

Down, down, down
My lungs fill to the brim
Down, down, down
I'm nothing without him

I walk along the edge
My eyes stung red
Predators swim by
Just biding their time

Leaping into the Rift
I begin to drift
Pressure pushes hard
Guiding me into the dark

Down, down, down
Vision pulsing red
Down, down, down
I'm almost dead

Vampires surround me
Their glowing bodies warm
Eight tentacles all spiky
They'll do me no harm

Descending ever deeper
Volcanic vents flowing
Falling into a cold sleeper
My life is failing
