Under Breath Poem by Rex-mayor Ubini

Under Breath

Sadness has found her brow
A free ground to cast its shadow
Her teeth now crouch its bloom
Behind her mouth's gloom
And now, shame wrestles her eyes
Because with all the wiles
I refused to kiss her lips coated with lies.

Should I had pad my ears with pretense
And blindfold my eyes from the evidence,
Hmmm, she knows me too well...
I know her too well.
She shouldn't be striving to be skillful
Knowing well I will never fall a fool.
