Uncrowned Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Uncrowned

Taste the excitement and tumble
Live in the shadows and mumble
Change your name and become
another desirable woman lying prone

Now you complain because you've
been wronged… you don't approve
The light of awareness is shining
directly on you… stop your whining

There is some justice to be found
when a mistress finds she is uncrowned
She weeps and expects to be heard
Never mind the hurt that she incurred

Who's to blame…not you of course
You were to be a wife…after the divorce
Looking for sympathy…you've been left
with emptiness resulting from your theft

Isn't it ironic how fate turns things around
You were one of many that he found
Saying how true his love was for you
As his ex, I say too bad… boo hoo…
