Uncomplicated Complication Poem by Ida Faye

Uncomplicated Complication

I am jailed by my own sorrow,
A lover or two cannot follow,
The roads were not narrow,
And the waters were not shallow.

Leave me not by my choices,
Hold me not by lustful intents,
Let this not be fruitless chances,
Or we will live a life full of repents.

I’ve sailed away to the darkest ends,
A place where there are no friends,
One that only solitude amends,
And an only evil thought attends.

Let not your time be wasted,
For this disease on me is unabated,
Let me be the only one tainted,
For this is a choice I am fated.

So sail away without me,
Live a life and be happy,
Our time is long and wee,
For life is ought not to be nasty.
