Unbroken Dreams Of A Broken Reality Poem by Aman Biswas

Unbroken Dreams Of A Broken Reality

My dream is over
Its not your fault
I wouldn't be wide awake
Without you

The waters seem so much more stale
Looking at them I see
The thoughts that reflect my mind
Intoxicating sweetly, corroding it away

Now rust covers me
And the shadows are lifted
To show i have been
standing in the ocean floor all along

How can i blame my dreams
They showed me what i wanted
To give me the strength
To let me surge through the unwanted life

How could you love
That which is broken
Only to give it hope
That it can be whole again

When we both knew
The unyielding truth
That which is known
To be destiny

How could we love
Like i wanted and dreamt
When we knew it was going to end
Like i had already mentioned
