Unappriciated Poem by Fayeleesa Shropshire

Unappriciated

I think I'm taken for granted.
The looks I get are always slanted.
I try to get ahead in life
because one day I'll be a wife.
But for now no noe can see,
what true beauty lies in me.
I think I'm taken for granted.
No one sees the seeds I've planted.
All they do is sift,
through all the bad in my life.
I grow into a beautiful tree
as I knew was my destiny.
I think I'm taken for granted.
Only discouragement they chanted.
So I go and sift,
but soon what I have found is a knife.
Taller and stronger I grow to thee.
You should have known you couldn't stop me.
